Christmas Magic

As a child I had many dreams, and one all too familiar to many young girls was to be a ballerina.

Through music and performance, stories such as Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty & The Nutcracker came to life with such creativity that I couldn’t help being drawn in. Thinking of it now I’m six again, in nude ballet pumps pointing my toes. Pure escapism.

The dream has faded slightly but to this day the fascination for ballet, theatre and storytelling remains wholly magical. At The Showroom Online we’re lucky enough to get a box at the Royal Opera House, London, to ring in the New Year watching the fantasy perfectly optimised by Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker and perfectly performed by The Royal Ballet.

There you’ll find some of my favourite things; Christmas, Sparkle, Magic & Charm and me transfixed in much the same way I was as a young girl.
